In this interactive presentation, Guest Speaker Apurva Bahadur speaks about the facets of railfanning and showcases snapshots from some of the locations that he frequents. A spin-off from this passion is the foray into industrial archaeology, to study and document the railway heritage of India, particularly of hidden areas where no supposedly sane person goes.
An electronics engineer by education, Apurva has worked much of his career in design and application of controls, mainly for the diesel engine industry. He is a train track trekker, photographer and a student of the railway history of India. A member of the Indian Railway Fan Club Association (IRFCA), he is amongst hundreds of fellow railfans, who share their interest and contribute to the growing pool of knowledge about our glorious trains. In his interactive presentation, Apurva spoke about the facets of railfanning and showcased snapshots from some of the locations that he frequents.
